Marie Mercier

Borned on the 8th of January 1850 in Issoudun, Marie Mercier is a worker who stood out by her engagement during the Commune de Paris in 1871. After leaving her birth town, she moves to Paris where she wed to Maurice Garreau, a communard originally from Tours and prison director of Mazas. This one was executed on the 25th of May 1871 during the Semaine sanglante (Bloody week).
