Saint-Denis de Reuilly's church

Discover the Saint-Denis de Reuilly's roman church, an architectural treasure of the XIIth century, rebuilt through the centuries. Originally neighboor of the anciant segneurial prior, this benedictine church has a cul-de-four apse, two apse and a nave covered with a wooden vault in the 16th century Its half-burried crypte from the carolingian times, and its entry typically roman is orned with keystones.

Historically tied with the Saint-Denis-en-France's abbey, the church has gone through tumultuous times, undergoing normand and english invasion before being reconquered by Du Guesclin. The vaults and the north wall of the nave were rebuilt in the XVth century, and the sqaured bell upgoing the height sided dome are standing-up proudly at the crossing of the transept.

Classified Historical Monument in 1939, Sainnt-Denis's church is a living witness of medieval and religious history of Reuilly. A visit will make you go through the century, in the heart of the Berichonne's legacy.

Notre Dame de Lourdes de Sainte-Lizaigne's church

The construction of the old church of our village, begun around 1100, probably rest on the basis of an anciant structure. This architectural pre-roman berrichonne jewel distinguish itself by its portal with bare tympanum, its pediment surrounded by a cordon of billets and its sculpted modillions on the choir and the apse. Before surrounded by a cemetary of height bushels (around 5000 m2) with 45 walnut trees.

Inside the church, especially the choir and the apse, was originally covered with mural fresque of the XIIIth and XIVth centuries. Unfortunatly, the lack of cleaning through the century led to the missing of the paintings. However, watercolor highlights are keptin the Monument Français museum in Paris and pictures of the 70s witness the artistic richess.

Two main fresque, "l'Eglise" and "la Synagogue", still adorn the embrasure of the axial window of the apse. Those artworks, of execptional rarety, justify alone the whole restoration of the monument according to the specialist of art history.

The old church , classified Historical Monument, is a precious witness of our region, inviting visitors to a fascinating dive in the past.

Saint-Michel de Chârost's church

Of the XIth century, rebuilt during the XVIth and XIXth centuries, under the protection of St-Michel. Located on the antiquity second path, the one that goes to Châteaumeillant in Vierzon, north branch of the Compostelle path. Like the castle of the village, the church is entirelly covered of ferruginious stones and we can also find brown limestone, the stone of country.From an imposant architecture, by the height or the deep and the most anciant parts that finds itself on the circular bedside table. On top of it, the Tetramorphe surrounded by for evangelistes, and the entry is beautifuly orned with capitals. It was classified as Historical Monumment in 1910. 

 Saint-Pierre's church in Chezal-Benoît

A very simple structure, the anciant abbey St-Pierre was founded from 1130 and welcome a benedictine community to the ask of Eudes Arpin, vicomte of Bourges. A central portal with toric arches, double blinds archades, and in the nave 7 bays built at different times.
